Privacy policy

The short version: our games do not collect anything about you, and this website does not either. The rest of this page is the same statement in the detail the app stores and privacy laws expect.

Effective date: September 4, 2026  ·  Last updated: September 4, 2026

Applies to: https://lynchpin.games and every mobile game published by LynchPin Games LLC.

1. Summary

  • Our games have no accounts and no sign-in.
  • They contain no advertising, no advertising identifiers, and no analytics or attribution SDKs.
  • They do not collect, transmit, or store personal information on any server we control.
  • Game progress and settings are saved only in the app's own storage on your device.
  • Purchases are processed entirely by Apple and Google. We never see or receive your payment details.
  • This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads nothing from another domain.

2. Who we are

LynchPin Games LLC ("LynchPin Games", "we", "us") publishes the mobile games listed on this site and operates https://lynchpin.games. For privacy purposes we are the data controller for the very limited information described below. You can reach us at privacy@lynchpin.games.

3. Information we collect

Through our games: none. Our games do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise or coarse location, microphone, camera, or any device advertising identifier. They do not create a user profile, do not fingerprint your device, and do not send gameplay telemetry anywhere.

Through this website: none beyond ordinary server logs. Our hosting provider, Netlify, records standard technical request data (such as IP address, timestamp, requested URL, and browser user-agent) in order to serve the site and defend it from abuse. We do not use those logs to build profiles, and we do not combine them with anything else.

When you email us: we receive whatever you choose to put in the message — typically your email address and a description of your problem. We use it to answer you and nothing else, and we do not add you to any list.

4. Data stored on your device

Our games write a small save file to the app's private storage — for example, completed levels and star counts, unlocked content, current puzzle state, sound and difficulty settings, and, in Otter Cove, each pet's care state and the time you last visited.

This data never leaves your device except as part of a device backup you have chosen to enable (iCloud or Google backup), which is governed by Apple's or Google's privacy policy rather than ours. We cannot read it, and we have no server that receives it.

5. Purchases

Where a game offers an in-app purchase, the transaction is handled by Apple's App Store (StoreKit) or Google Play Billing. Those platforms process your payment, hold your payment method, and issue receipts. We receive only the platform's confirmation that an entitlement is owned by the store account using the app, which is what makes "Restore purchases" work. We do not receive your name, billing address, or card details.

Apple's and Google's handling of that transaction is covered by their own privacy policies.

6. Third parties

We do not sell, rent, or share personal information, because we do not collect any. We do not embed advertising networks, social media SDKs, crash reporters, attribution services, or analytics providers in our games.

The only third parties involved in delivering our products at all are:

PartyRoleWhat they handle

7. This website

https://lynchpin.games is a static site. It sets no cookies, uses no local storage, runs no analytics, embeds no fonts, scripts, images, or frames from other domains, and has no contact form that submits data anywhere. The only script on the site is a few lines of our own JavaScript that opens the navigation menu on small screens.

8. Children's privacy

Our games are family-friendly and are safe for children to play: they contain no violence, no chat or messaging, no user-generated content, no social features, no advertising, and no links out of the app from within gameplay.

Because we collect no personal information from anyone, we collect none from children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your jurisdiction), and we have nothing to delete if a parent asks. Our games do offer in-app purchases; parents can disable those with Screen Time on iOS or parental controls in the Google Play Store. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, write to privacy@lynchpin.games and we will delete the message.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict the processing of your personal information, to object to processing, and to be free from discrimination for exercising those rights — including under the EU and UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act.

In practice there is very little for these rights to attach to: we hold no personal information about our players other than emails you have chosen to send us. If you would like us to confirm what we hold about you, or to delete your correspondence, email privacy@lynchpin.games and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA, and we have not done so in the preceding twelve months.

10. Deleting your data

Game data. Delete the app from your device. Every save file, setting, and progress record lives in the app's own storage and is removed with it. There is no account to close and no server-side copy for us to erase.

If you have device backups enabled, a copy may persist in your iCloud or Google backup until that backup is deleted or replaced; manage that through your device settings.

Purchases. Your entitlement record is held by Apple or Google, not by us, and is what lets you restore a purchase after reinstalling. Removing it is a matter for the store, not for us.

Email. Ask us at privacy@lynchpin.games and we will delete our copy of your correspondence.

11. Retention and security

We keep support correspondence only as long as it is useful for answering you and for our own records of a reported bug — normally no more than 24 months. Because we operate no player database, there is no store of personal information to breach. This site is served over HTTPS.

12. Changes to this policy

If we ever change what our games or this site collect, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top before the change takes effect. Material changes will also be noted in the affected game's store listing release notes. Previous versions are available on request.
